package came wrapped properly - no damage. pastels are good quality. blend easily (finger or stub or just color on color) and they have a wide selection. depending on your needs and skill you might not use all of them - for beginner I believe the 24 set is great but if you have the money get the bigger one. use some mid tier paper at least and it will be a blast. besides artwork its also fun for the kids to play around with them. just make sure to clean up as these can easily stick to your hands. great price to performance ratio. highly recommend if you are considering them
